Integrative Pathobiology Awards $100,000 in Summer Fellowships

Doubling Last Year's Amount

This summer, the Graduate Group in Integrative Pathobiology came together to support its students through a challenging year by continuing our Summer Support Fellowships. Designed to help students whose summer funding had been reduced, disrupted, or was otherwise unavailable, the original call for applications described three levels of funding available -$1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 in stipend support to help students continue making meaningful progress toward their degrees. The response highlighted both the range of challenges students are navigating and the strength of their commitment to their research and training. After reviewing applications with particular attention to financial need, summer plans, degree progress, and mentor support, the GGIP Executive Committee selected ALL students to receive awards at the highest funding level ($10k). These fellowships represent not only financial assistance, but the investment in our students and in the important research, writing, training, and professional development they will carry forward throughout the summer and beyond.

Congratulations to Camryn Sellers-Porter, Charvita Nemarugommula, David Morales, Jai Patel, Jenn Wong-Fortunato, Kexin Wen, Max Tracy, Ryan James, Sara Ali, and Uchenna Nlebedum - GGIP is proud to support you!
