Area of Research

• Allen Gao, MD, PhD is Ralph deVere White Professor of Urologic Oncology. Dr. Gao’s research focuses on understanding the molecular changes associated with the progression and resistance of prostate cancer with goals to identify better diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for advanced prostate cancer. Particular emphases include microRNAs, androgen signaling, mechanisms of drug resistance, novel therapeutic targets, and drug development including preclinical and early clinical studies.
