Area of Research
- As an Assistant Professor of Equine Field Service at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Morgan serves our local equine community. She has a special interest in sports medicine, cardiology, and rehabilitation. Dr. Morgan's research interest include a focus on performance limitations with an emphasis in cardiovascular and musculoskeletal disease. Current projects include evaluation of the role of sedation in lameness evaluation, and development of markers for early detection of disease and staging of rehabilitation. Ultimately Dr. Morgan's laboratory is focused on exercise physiology and increasing our understanding of maintaining health and longevity of athletes.
