Area of Research

• My research focus is on the development of the microbiota-gut-brain axis in the context of neonatal dysbiosis of the gut microbiota. We use mouse models of bacterial infection, environmental toxicant exposure, and neurodevelopmental disorders to study mechanisms of gut-brain communication and identification of novel treatment strategies.
